Exploring MyPlate
Introduction
Do you ever have a stomach ache from eating too much food at one time? Do you know the correct amounts of food to eat in one sitting? MyPlate is a visual example of what types of food groups we are to eat every day and how much of each food group. This assignment will allow you to learn what important food groups you need in your regular day to day diet. Understanding the importance of a balanced meal is one thing MyPlate demonstrates very effectively.
Task
Your task for understanding MyPlate is to Print out your own MyPlate template and list several types of foods that fit into the right food groups from the MyPlate template as well as the proper portion sizes.

The Process

- After you have created your list, print out the blank MyPlate and write in your discovered foods in the spaces provided.
The answer is not far, it is in the MyPlate diagram!
Use this link to see the actual portion sizes of each food group!
- Once you know the actual portion size for each food group, add that information to each category on your blank MyPlate template with the different types of foods.
